Former US vice president Walter Mondale dies at age 93

Walter Mondale's family released a statement on Monday confirming the death of former US vice president Walter Mondale.

"It is with profound sadness that we share news that our beloved dad passed away today in Minneapolis, Minnesota," Mondale's Family

He served as the 42nd vice president of the United States from 1977 to 1981 under President Jimmy Carter.
